Lended Learning
Blended education, Hybrid learning, or Flipping the classroom, whatever you choose to call it, this is the method of learning--which combines classroom and online education. Blended Learning is the hybrid education that is different from room to room, depending on the needs of the students. This learning combines traditional face-to-face sessions, online sessions, with hands on, project based, inquiry based, that transforms the everyday classroom into an active enivironment.

One size fits all, does not work in the classroom. Our digital learners need more than the teacher at the center of the room, disseminating knowledge. The students of today are always connected, and that constant changing and so are their learning needs. The true blended classroom is when teaching & technology are planned together to truly customize learning for each individual. The online portion of the learning is not an add on or supplement too, but a major component of the learning taking place for the student and adds the anytime/anywhere learning element. This makes the classtime more valuable for the students and teachers.

How do we harness motivation and engagement of our digital students? By blending the learning from the traditional setting to using anywhere/anytime devices. Ipads, cell phones, and other mobile devices are the ideal tools for the digital learners sitting in our traditional classrooms. Mobile devices that can be used for communication, notetaking, e-reading, web browsing, email, and construction of products that allow for their interpretation of their learning, this is what the digital nation sitting in our traditional classrooms need.
