Professional Growth & Effectiveness System
Kentucky has adopted the Professional Growth and Effectiveness System (PGES). This goal is to have every student in our state to be taught by an effective teacher and every school to be led by an effective principal. This system is a way to measure teaching not by one measure but to have multiple means of evidence. The PGES for teachers will contain observations, peer observations, relfections, professional growth, student growth, and student voice.
Kentucky adopted the Framework for Teaching whish is based on the Charlotte Danielson's work. this framework 5 domains:
